About us.
Seaforth RSL sits within the RSL Queensland Central District, 20 minutes North of Mackay and 20 minutes east, off the Bruce Highway.
As of our AGM in February 2026, we have 18 service members and 22 non-league members.
We support not only the Seaforth community, but the wider catchment, including Haliday Bay, Ball Bay, Cape Hillsborough, Mt Jukes, Mt Blackwood and The Leap. We hold services for all national days of commemoration, including:
-
War Animals Day - 24 February
-
Anzac Day - 25 April
-
Remembrance Day - 11 November
These services are always well attended and well supported, and we encourage you to join us where possible.
Our mission and values can be found below from RSL Queensland, but we've also included commitment, communication, and we'd be nothing without community. These morals and values are our pin on the horizon, the point of aim in all our endeavours moving forward.
2026 EVENTS
War Animals Day
Colloquially referred to as "Purple Poppy Day" the War Animals Day service will be held at the Seaforth Anzac Memorial Park at 3.30pm.
A short service reflecting on sacrifices made by all defence animals who have served will be followed up with a CWA afternoon tea.
Anzac Day
2011-2014
By far the biggest day in our calendar now.
Gathering from 0500 at the Seaforth Bowls Club (overflow parking available on the SCG). Step off will be at 0550.
The order of march will be all service personnel, emergency services, schools and community groups.
This year's route will move out of the Bowls Club, right along Walsh Ave and left down Elizabeth St, then right onto the recreation reserve footpath leading up to the new cenotaph site.
The ceremony will begin at 0600 adjacent to the splash park BBQ area on the far left as you look out to the ocean. The service will be finished by 0650 and all attendees are invited back to the Bowls Club (opening the bar from 0700) for a hot breakfast ($5), drinks and some 2-up, followed by barefoot bowls. Alternatively, the Seaforth RFS shed will also have a BBQ breakfast available.
Certificate of attendance will be made available for all school children who don't attend Seaforth Primary.
See our ANZAC Day page for more details.

Last years inaugural event (hosting over 70 cars and 24 bikes) only showed us what's needed to make it better, not if it would be a success. Slip over to the events page for more info and entrant tickets.

The service will be held at the beachside cenotaph from 11am.

Our
Mission
It’s our mission to provide care, commemoration and camaraderie to enable veterans and their families to live with dignity and respect.
Every day, we recognise and advocate for the exceptional skills and values veterans bring to our society, and we help all veterans and their families to find purpose, connection and support when they need it.
As custodians of our commemorative days and events, RSL Queensland keeps the flame of respect burning brightly, inspiring new generations to understand and appreciate the sacrifices made by those who serve.
And we recognise and nurture the bonds of mateship, nourishing the deep and enduring ties created through service, especially through RSL Sub Branches.
In all that we do, we’re consistently guided by the pursuit of RSL Queensland’s Objects.
